Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has released the official schedule for the upcoming Umrah season, outlining key dates and procedures for international pilgrims planning to perform Umrah in the Islamic year 1447, which corresponds to 2025–2026.
As per the announcement, pilgrims from abroad will be permitted to begin Umrah on June 11, 2025. Visa issuance will commence a day earlier, on June 10, 2025 (14 Dhul Hijjah 1446), and all contracts between Umrah service providers and overseas agents must be finalized by May 27, 2025 (29 Dhul Qadah 1446).
Preparations for the season began on March 25, with the launch of digital platforms such as “Nusuk” and the “Umrah Path” system. These tools are part of the Kingdom’s ongoing digital transformation efforts aimed at improving transparency and efficiency in managing pilgrim services.
The official signing of service contracts started on April 14 during the 2025 Hajj and Umrah Services Forum, which brought together international stakeholders to coordinate and plan for the season ahead.
The ministry also highlighted several important deadlines. The last date to issue Umrah visas is March 20, 2026 (1 Shawwal 1447). Pilgrims must arrive in Saudi Arabia by April 3, 2026 (15 Shawwal 1447), and all foreign visitors are required to leave the country by April 18, 2026 (1 Dhul Qadah 1447).
Furthermore, January 20, 2026 (1 Sha’ban 1447), has been set as the cutoff for external agents to complete their qualification process and finalize agreements with Saudi Umrah operators.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah emphasized that the structured timeline is intended to help ensure an organized and seamless experience for the millions of Muslims expected to travel for Umrah, enabling them to plan their pilgrimage with confidence and clarity.
