The National Savings Centre in Karachi has announced the top winners of the Rs. 1,500 prize bond draw for May 2025.
The first prize of Rs. 3 million has been awarded to bond number 902481. Three winners have secured the second prize of Rs. 1 million each, with the winning bond numbers being 500006, 516817, and 777270.
Winners can claim their prize money from designated bank branches or National Savings offices.
Under the current tax regulations, filers of income tax will see a deduction of 15 percent on their prize money, while non-filers will be taxed at 35 percent.
For Filers

First prize winner will receive Rs. 2,550,000 after a tax deduction of Rs. 450,000.

Second prize winners will each receive Rs. 850,000, following a Rs. 150,000 tax deduction.

Third prize winners will receive Rs. 15,725, with a tax of Rs. 2,775 deducted from Rs. 18,500.
For Non-Filers

First prize winner will take home Rs. 1,950,000, with Rs. 1,050,000 deducted.

Second prize winners will each receive Rs. 650,000, following a Rs. 350,000 deduction.

Third prize winners will get Rs. 12,950, after paying Rs. 5,550 in taxes.
Prize bonds are issued and managed by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) in partnership with the State Bank of Pakistan. The scheme, in operation since the 1960s, remains a popular savings option for citizens, offering both financial security and the chance to win cash rewards.
