A Fly Jinnah flight narrowly avoided major disaster on Sunday after making a challenging landing in Quetta amid a severe dust storm and powerful winds.
According to Deputy Commissioner Quetta Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, the aircraft attempted to land four times while struggling with low fuel. Despite the hazardous weather, the pilot managed to land the plane safely, preventing what could have been a major tragedy.
In a statement on X, Shafqaat described the landing as “miraculous” and confirmed that all passengers were unharmed. “Thanks to a successful final attempt, a possible disaster was averted,” he said.
Separately, a PIA flight to Quetta had been rerouted from Karachi due to strong winds.
