In the Khyber district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 37 government girls’ primary schools have been shut down due to a shortage of teaching staff.
According to sources, 21 schools in Tehsil Landi Kotal, 12 in Tehsil Bara, and 4 in Tehsil Jamrud have ceased operations, putting the education and future of hundreds of female students at risk.
The sources further revealed that female teachers are often unwilling to serve in remote areas, and there is a significant lack of qualified female teachers at the local level, which has led to the closure of these educational institutions.
