Another spell of strong winds and rain is forecast for Islamabad this evening as temperatures soar past 40°C in the capital.
The Meteorological Department has also predicted rainfall in several nearby areas, including Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Sargodha. Rain is expected to extend to Khushab, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujrat, and Gujranwala as well.
Showers may also affect Mianwali, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sheikhupura. Meanwhile, isolated thunderstorms are likely to develop in parts of Jhang, Noorpur Thal, and Bhakkar.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rainfall is anticipated in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, Swabi, and Mansehra. Further showers may occur in Abbottabad, Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Kurram, Khyber, Waziristan, and Bannu, with potential rain in Kohat, Hangu, Karak, and Dera Ismail Khan.
Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir are also expected to receive gusty winds accompanied by thunderstorms.
On the other hand, much of Balochistan is likely to remain extremely hot and dry, according to the latest forecast.
