Huawei Nova 14 Series Becomes Official With Flagship Grade Hardware for Cheap

Huawei has officially launched its Nova 14 series in China, introducing three smartphones: the Nova 14, Nova 14 Pro, and the high-end Nova 14 Ultra. While the chipset details remain undisclosed, the lineup focuses on premium design, advanced camera capabilities, and next-gen display and charging tech.

The Nova 14 Ultra in particular stands out with its periscope zoom lens and up to 1 TB of onboard storage, while all three phones support fast charging and run HarmonyOS 5.0.

Design and Display

The Huawei Nova 14 Ultra features a 6.81-inch quad-curved OLED display with FHD+ resolution and an adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate enabled by LTPO 3.0 technology. This panel offers Kunlun glass protection and boasts an impressive peak brightness of up to 5,500 nits.

Meanwhile, the Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro both come with 6.7-inch OLED displays. The Pro model also benefits from LTPO technology, ensuring smoother user interaction. The Nova 14 arrives in four eye-catching finishes: Obsidian Black, Rococo White, Blue, Monet Purple, and Light Gold.

Internals and Software

Huawei has not revealed the processor powering the Nova 14 series, but all three models run on HarmonyOS 5.0. The Nova 14 Ultra also includes two-way satellite communication and is IP68/69 rated, while the Pro and base models offer IP65 dust and water resistance. Storage options range up to 1TB for the Ultra and 512GB for the Pro and base models.

Camera

On the back, the Nova 14 Ultra sports a triple-lens setup consisting of a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture (f/1.4–f/4.0), a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope camera with 3.7x optical zoom. On the front, it features dual selfie cameras — a 50MP ultrawide and an 8MP portrait lens with 2x zoom.

The Nova 14 Pro has a similar front setup and slightly scaled-back rear cameras (50MP + 12MP + 8MP). The standard Nova 14 has a single 50MP front camera and the same rear trio as the Pro.

Battery and Pricing

Each phone in the Nova 14 series comes with a 5,500mAh battery and 100W wired fast charging. The Nova 14 Ultra is priced at $582 for the 256GB model and $693 for the 1TB variant. The Nova 14 Pro starts at $485 for 256GB and goes up to $526 for 512 GB. The Nova 14 is available at $374 for the 256GB version and $415 for the 512GB configuration. International availability has yet to be announced.
