Apple Confirms iOS 19 Announcement Date

Apple has officially announced that it will reveal iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 during its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), scheduled for June 9 to June 13. The keynote, where the company traditionally showcases its upcoming software updates, will start on June 9.

Major Redesign Expected

This year’s WWDC keynote is expected to introduce some of the most significant visual and functional changes to iOS in years. According to reports, iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 could adopt a new design language inspired by VisionOS, the interface that powers Apple’s Vision Pro headset. The shift could bring a more synchronized and uniform user experience across Apple’s mobile platforms.

Smarter Siri?

Speculation has also surrounded potential updates to Siri. While a smarter, AI-enhanced Siri has been developing for some time, recent leaks suggest Apple may not highlight this feature during the event. The long-anticipated revamp of Apple’s digital assistant could still be under wraps, possibly delaying its debut to a later announcement.

Apple’s announcement strategically coincides with Google I/O 2025, aiming to capture attention during a week dominated by its rival’s developer event. Google is expected to announce its own major update to the Android OS at this event.

What’s Next?

As WWDC approaches, Apple is expected to release further teasers or developer previews. In addition to iOS and iPadOS, updates to macOS, watchOS, and tvOS are also anticipated during the weeklong event.
