The initiative, spearheaded by the Environment Protection Department (EPA) of Punjab, targets vehicle emissions, a key contributor to the city’s growing pollution problem.
Free Emissions Testing Now Available
To encourage public participation, the Punjab government is offering free emissions testing for one month across multiple locations in Lahore. The initiative is intended to raise awareness about vehicle emissions and promote environmental responsibility without imposing a financial burden on residents.

Nine emissions testing booths have been established at strategic points to ensure easy access for vehicle owners. Each booth is equipped with modern testing technology designed to deliver quick and accurate results. The designated locations include:

- Lake City – Al-Kabir Town, Raiwind Road
- Kahna – Patwaar Khana, LDA Road, Gajjumata
- DHA – Near Packages Mall

- Wapda Town – Evercare Hospital
- Shahdara – Rescue 1122 Office, GT Road

Vehicle owners can simply drive to any of the listed testing points for inspection. No prior appointment is required during the initial free testing period. Results are issued on the spot, and vehicles that pass the test will receive certification of compliance.
