Shaheen Shah Afridi has capped off a memorable PSL X campaign by being named captain of the Team of the Tournament, following Lahore Qalandars’ title-winning run.
The team, officially unveiled by the PCB, was selected by members of the PSL commentary panel and features standout performers from across the league, recognizing those who made a significant impact during the season.
Two of Shaheen’s Lahore teammates also made the cut. Fakhar Zaman scored 439 runs with four half-centuries, while Sikandar Raza had an excellent all-round season, scoring 254 runs and taking 10 wickets.
Quetta Gladiators, the runners-up, also saw three of their players included. Young opener Hasan Nawaz, named the tournament’s best batter, scored 399 runs with a century and three fifties. Faheem Ashraf was brilliant with both bat and ball, claiming 17 wickets and contributing 163 runs. Spinner Abrar Ahmed also had a strong campaign, finishing with 17 wickets.
Karachi Kings have three representatives as well. Captain David Warner scored 368 runs in 11 matches, while James Vince edged him with 378 runs including a century. Hasan Ali took 17 wickets to be among the top bowlers of the tournament. Khushdil Shah, who had useful returns with both bat and ball, was named the 12th man.
Islamabad United’s only pick was Sahibzada Farhan, who topped the tournament’s run-scoring chart with 449 runs. Rounding out the team is young Peshawar Zalmi pacer Ali Raza. The emerging fast bowler impressed with 12 wickets in nine matches and is considered one of the rising stars of PSL X.
