Every Major Honda Car Is Getting an Upgrade – Here’s the Full List

Honda has outlined a long-term global product roadmap that includes a range of updates across sedans, SUVs, and compact cars. The company is adopting a diversified approach, blending internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, and electric vehicles based on market demand and regional regulations.

Key Updates to HR-V, CR-V, and Pilot

The US-spec Honda HR-V, sold as the ZR-V in Europe, will remain in production until at least 2030. Honda plans a mid-cycle refresh in the coming years. The CR-V will move to its next generation in 2027. Regional variants, including the Dongfeng CR-V and GAC Breeze in China, will also be updated, along with the European model.

Following a recent update to the Passport, Honda is now focusing on the Pilot. Introduced in 2022, the Pilot is expected to receive a facelift soon, potentially introducing a hybrid powertrain. A full redesign is planned between 2028 and 2029, likely forming the foundation of a new hybrid-only three-row SUV for the US market.

Accord and Odyssey Plans

The Honda Accord, currently in its 11th generation, will receive minor updates shortly. A 12th-generation model is scheduled for late 2027, with production planned in both China and the US. Meanwhile, the Odyssey minivan—last redesigned in 2017 and updated in 2021 and 2025—is expected to undergo a complete redesign by 2028. This version may adopt a hybrid-only configuration.

Small Cars to Continue with Multiple Options

Honda will also refresh several smaller models in Asia and emerging markets. The City, in both hatchback and sedan forms, will receive an update in 2026 while continuing with internal combustion engines. The Amaze, launched in 2024 in India, is not scheduled for replacement until 2031.

The Elevate, produced in India and sold in Japan as the WR-V, will gain a fully electric variant by late 2025. A mid-cycle update will follow in 2028, and a new generation is expected in 2031. The ASEAN-specific WR-V will receive a facelift in 2026 and a full redesign before 2030.

Fit, HR-V, and N-Box Updates

The Honda Fit/Jazz, in its fourth generation since 2019, is set for a major facelift in China later this year. Europe and Japan received minor updates in 2022. A new generation of the model is likely by 2028.

The global-spec HR-V (also called Vezel in Japan) will enter its next generation around 2028, offering both hybrid and electric options. In Japan, the N-Box kei van, which debuted in 2023, is expected to receive a facelift shortly and a full redesign by 2030. Honda also plans to launch an all-electric version, potentially modeled after the N-Van e.

Additional Regional Updates

The China-produced Odyssey, which differs from its US counterpart, will be replaced later this year. Honda’s Freed minivan, introduced in 2024, is projected to receive a facelift by 2028 and a full redesign by 2032.
