Vehicle owners must bring their NCP vehicles to the relevant Excise and Taxation Office along with their ID card and purchase receipt. The process takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

However, vehicles with tampered chassis numbers will not be profiled and may lead to action against the owner.

Excise official Muhammad Naeem confirmed there is no fee for the profiling. Once complete, a temporary number plate will be issued by the local police station.

Excise Minister Khaleeq-ur-Rehman clarified that no taxes will be imposed on these vehicles. He said customs duty is a federal matter and the profiling decision was taken by the Apex Committee to keep proper records and improve oversight of such vehicles.
