Govt Expects Overseas Pakistanis to Send Nearly $40 Billion in Remittances Next Year

The federal government expects remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis to hit $39.43 billion mark in the fiscal year 2025-26 (FY26).

For the current fiscal year i.e. FY25 the government expects remittances to come in at $37.452 billion.

In 10MFY25, remittances have increased by 31 percent year-on-year to $31.21 billion compared to inflows of $23.85 billion reported in 10MFY24.

The remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis increased by 13 percent year-on-year to $3.18 billion during April 2025. While the country received record remittances of $4.1 billion during March 2025.

The country receives the highest remittances from Saudi Arabia. This is followed by the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
