LPG Likely to Get Cheaper Across Pakistan

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices are expected to decline by as much as Rs. 50 per kilogram due to abundant supplies in the domestic market, according to sources familiar with the matter.

Sources said the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) is likely to reduce the official LPG price from Rs. 309 per kilogram to around Rs. 259 per kilogram.

The expected reduction could come as LPG availability has improved, creating room for a significant cut in official prices from July.

Despite the anticipated decrease, consumers may continue to face higher prices in the open market.

OGRA’s notified LPG price is currently not being implemented in Lahore and many other parts of the country, where retailers are selling the fuel at rates well above the official benchmark.
