The federal government has granted leave to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood from June 29 to July 6, according to a notification issued by the Establishment Division.
The notification states that Rashid Mahmood, a BS 22 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, has been granted leave on full pay.
The government has also allowed him to travel abroad during the leave period, provided there is no foreign exchange liability on the federal government.
During his absence, Dr. Hamid Ateeq Sarwar, Member Strategic Transformation at the FBR, has been assigned to look after the responsibilities of the FBR chairman in addition to his existing duties.
The notification was issued by the Establishment Division on June 27.
