As Eid-ul-Adha approaches and Lahore’s summer heat intensifies, many residents are bracing themselves for the usual power woes that often disrupt festive celebrations.
With rising demand and the city’s history of unexpected outages, concerns about electricity supply are once again at the forefront of people’s minds. This year, however, LESCO has made some important decisions that could change the holiday experience for everyone.
The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has assured residents that there will be no load shedding during the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha holidays. The company has taken special measures to provide an uninterrupted electricity supply across its service areas.
A LESCO spokesperson stated that all relevant departments have been instructed to ensure full staff availability throughout the Eid holidays. Line staff and complaint center teams will remain on duty to quickly address any technical faults or emergencies.
To further strengthen preparations, LESCO has arranged additional transformer trolleys for rapid replacement and restoration of power in case of equipment failure. The company also confirmed that its teams will stay on high alert, even in the event of a heatwave, to prevent any inconvenience to citizens during the festive period.
