The Punjab Education Department is likely to reopen the e-transfer process for teachers immediately following Eid.
The upcoming round will focus on adjusting over 1,200 teachers who have recently been promoted or are awaiting placement due to promotions.
In District Lahore alone, more than 50 teachers are awaiting adjustments. These placements are expected to be addressed during the initial post-Eid e-transfer phase.
After the adjustment of promoted teachers, a new round of e-transfers based on open merit is scheduled to begin in July. According to sources, this round will allow all eligible teachers to apply for transfers under open merit criteria.
Following the open merit round, the Cabinet Committee is expected to review and approve a rationalization plan. This process will aim to ensure the optimal distribution of teaching staff across schools in the province.
