Saudi Arabia Bans Slogan Chanting and Flag Waving During Hajj

The Saudi Ministry of Interior has issued a strict advisory to Hajj pilgrims, urging them to avoid photography at sacred sites, as well as displaying political or sectarian flags and engaging in sloganeering or protests.

The ministry emphasized that all pilgrims are considered guests of Allah, and ensuring their safety, health, and comfort remains a top priority for the Saudi government.

Pilgrims have been instructed to respect local laws and maintain order and discipline at the holy sites. The ministry also warned against any form of provocative behavior or disorderly conduct, which could disrupt the sanctity of the pilgrimage.

Meanwhile, Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, has advised pilgrims to take precautions against the extreme heat. He urged them to stay inside their tents between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and avoid direct exposure to the sun to ensure they can perform the Hajj rituals safely and in good health.

Dr. Al-Rabiah also advised pilgrims to limit outdoor movement unless necessary, to minimize the risk of heat-related illnesses, exhaustion, or dehydration.
