Govt Allocates Rs. 7.4 Billion to Build More Housing Units for Parliamentarians

The Federal Government has earmarked Rs. 7.4 billion under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2025-26 for the “Construction of Additional Family Suites for the Members of Parliament, including 500 Servant Quarters at G-5/2, Islamabad.”

The project was approved by the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on February 21, 2025.

The development will include modern family residential units as well as 500 servant quarters to support the housing infrastructure for legislative members and their staff.

The initiative is also expected to reduce the dependency on private accommodations and hotel bookings, ensuring logistical convenience and long-term cost-efficiency for the government.
