The federal government has ended the tax exemption for FATA and PATA in the 2025-26 budget.
Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that a phased sales tax will be imposed on goods produced in FATA and PATA.
He further explained that the new budget proposes a 10 percent tax rate for FATA.
