Items With No Barcodes or Tax Stamps Will Now Be Seized

The government has announced new rules under the Federal Excise Duty (FED) regime in a move to tighten tax enforcement.

According to the latest measures announced in the budget speech, any products or items found without original tax stamps, barcodes, or registration in the official Track & Trace System will be seized immediately.

This change is meant to curb tax evasion and ensure that all goods in the market are properly documented and traceable. The government hopes this crackdown will promote transparency and accountability in the supply chain, sending a clear message to businesses to comply with the new regulations or face swift action.
