The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had also warned of continued hot conditions with temperatures 4‑7 °C above normal from June 7 to June 12, accompanied by dust storms and gusty winds .
The anticipated monsoon rains, expected to sweep across the country in the final week of June, are projected to provide much-needed respite—from Karachi’s crowded streets to Kashmir’s lush valleys.
Citizens are urged to remain cautious during the heatwave phase by staying hydrated and avoiding prolonged sun exposure, especially vulnerable groups like children and the elderly.
