On the directives of the Chief Minister of Punjab, a decision has been made to upgrade Lahore’s entry and exit points. Lahore Police has assigned the task to joint teams comprising officers from the police department and the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
In the initial phase, six key entry and exit locations — including Babu Sabu, Saggian, and Ravi Bridge — will undergo upgrades. According to sources, these points will be beautified and reorganized similar to the model of Thokar Niaz Baig, with improved entryways and police checkpoints.
Police officials stated that comfortable and well-designed rooms will be built for officers stationed at these checkpoints. Special arrangements will also be made for the screening of women, as directed by the Chief Minister.
Currently, the city has 13 official entry and exit points.
