The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) carried out a series of inspections across the districts of Multan, Vehari, and Khanewal to assess food safety and hygiene standards. Enforcement teams visited dairy shops, bakeries, sweet manufacturing units, departmental stores, and various other food outlets to ensure compliance with regulations.

As a result of these checks, six food-related businesses were temporarily shut down due to non-compliance and poor sanitary conditions.

The PFA teams confiscated 115 liters of contaminated milk, 60 kilograms of expired food products, 14 kilograms of monosodium glutamate (MSG), 15 liters of outdated soft drinks, and 10 liters of spoiled cooking oil.
