U.S. President Donald Trump announced that American forces have carried out airstrikes on three key locations in Iran, marking a significant escalation in cooperation with Israel’s military campaign aimed at dismantling Tehran’s nuclear infrastructure. The move heightens the risk of broader conflict in the region, especially as Iran has warned of retaliation if the U.S. becomes directly involved.
The U.S. strikes followed more than a week of Israeli operations that targeted Iranian missile systems and air defenses, as well as components of its nuclear program. According to American and Israeli officials, only the U.S. possesses the necessary capabilities—specifically stealth aircraft and specialized bunker-buster bombs—to penetrate Iran’s fortified underground nuclear facilities.
In a social media post, Trump said, “We have successfully completed our strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All aircraft are out of Iranian airspace. A full payload of bombs was dropped on Fordow, the main target. All crews are returning safely.”

Trump mentioned the use of B-2 stealth bombers in the mission but did not detail the types of munitions deployed. The Pentagon and White House have yet to release further information.
The decision to launch the strikes is politically risky for Trump, who rose to power promising to end U.S. involvement in foreign wars and often criticized military interventions abroad. Iran has previously vowed to respond forcefully to any American military action, raising concerns that the situation could spiral into a wider regional confrontation.

Some Pakistanis’ ‘Pappus’ might even vote for him for the Nobel Peace Prize. I feel ashamed of all such individuals. As a true citizen of this country, I stand with Palestine and Iran.
