Sindh Police Launches First Public Driving School

The Sindh Police has inaugurated its first-ever driving training school for the public, located at the Police Training College in Saeedabad.

The facility will offer driving instruction for cars, motorcycles, and both light and heavy vehicles, with the goal of promoting safer roads across the province.

Inspector General of Sindh Police, Ghulam Nabi Memon, visited the newly established school to inspect its facilities. He described the initiative as a pilot project that will initially operate in Karachi but is set to expand to other cities, including Hyderabad, Larkana, and Khairpur.

Speaking to the media during his visit, IG Memon emphasized that road safety is a top priority for the department. “Safe driving is our goal,” he said. “The only way to prevent accidents is through trained drivers.”

The driving school is part of a broader effort by Sindh Police to promote responsible driving practices and reduce traffic-related incidents. Officials said that trained instructors and standardized courses will help ensure that new drivers on the road are better equipped to follow traffic laws and operate vehicles safely.
