The federal government has decided to remove the monthly Rs. 35 PTV fee from electricity bills. The move will discontinue the monthly collection of approximately Rs. 1.5 billion through power bills.
An official notification is expected to be issued soon.
Pertinently, the government used this fee to pay salaries of PTV employees.
Separately, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved a Rs. 1.50 per unit reduction in the base electricity tariff. The new average tariff will now stand at Rs. 34 per unit for power distribution companies.
NEPRA’s decision has been forwarded to the federal government and will be formally notified after a final decision on subsidy allocations.

That is really a very good decision. Well done.
lol. What difference would 35 Rs make to an average household?. The move is clearly directed at dissolving PTV. Hypocrite public can pay thousands of rupees in fuel adjustment charges yet 35 Rs seem like a burden.
