Two Arrested in Murder Case of Retired Brigadier’s Son

The Islamabad police have arrested two suspects in connection with the murder of renowned economic and defense analyst Faheem Sardar, authorities announced during a joint press conference on Tuesday.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, alongside Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, confirmed that the two suspects were apprehended from Gujranwala and Sargodha. According to the IGP, the accused were repeat offenders who had surveyed homes with minimal activity to select their target.

“The suspects entered the house with the intent to rob and attacked Faheem Sardar with an iron rod when he resisted,” said IGP Islamabad. He added that the case was treated as a high-priority investigation and successfully resolved within six days.

Talal Chaudhry praised Islamabad police for their swift action, noting their recent breakthroughs in several complex cases, including the Sana Yousuf murder case. He added that such efforts have helped reduce crime rates in the capital.

Faheem Sardar, affiliated with a government think tank, was found critically injured at his residence and succumbed to his wounds while being shifted to the hospital. His murder had sparked calls for justice and prompted a high-level investigation.

  • Funny how those who talk about defense have forgotten that a desparate nation may target them

Not a good outcome. Unemployment creates desparation

  • Mr. Arsalan Khattak
    Your research is poor.
Faheem Sardar was already dead when the police arrived.
You obviously don’t care about the truth like 99% others.
    Shame.
