Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has announced a series of major initiatives aimed at improving the province’s education, health, and transport sectors in the upcoming quarter.
According to his statement, 4,400 new teachers will be hired, and four new IBA community colleges will be established across the province. In addition, 34,000 schools will be made financially autonomous, empowering them to manage their operations independently.
Thousands of deserving students will also receive scholarships through the Sindh Education Endowment Fund, ensuring continued support for higher education.
In the health sector, the minister revealed that a budget of Rs. 326.5 billion is being allocated with urgent disbursement of funds. Key projects include the expansion of SIUT, PPHI, NICVD, and Chandka Medical College Hospital, as well as upgrading ambulance services.
Furthermore, under the Benazir Hari Card, a phased rollout of subsidies for 200,000 farmers has also commenced.
He emphasized that these development measures are part of the Sindh government’s commitment to revive the economy and provide immediate relief to citizens.
