Pakistan Railways has announced that all reservation offices across the country will remain closed on the 10th of Muharram (Ashura) in observance of the holy day.
According to a spokesperson, booking offices will be shut on Ashura out of respect for the occasion. Normal operations at all reservation offices will resume from the 11th of Muharram.
A formal notification has been issued to inform passengers in advance.
Railway authorities have advised travelers to either use the online reservation system for booking and inquiries or visit the offices once they reopen.
