The German Consulate in Karachi has announced a temporary closure.
According to the official statement, the consulate has been closed from 8-11 July due to operational reasons.
Passport collection will remain available while visa appointments will be rescheduled, the statement added.
The announcement has left many Pakistanis—including students, business travelers, and tourists—uncertain about their upcoming plans.
In a separate development, Sweden has resumed visa processing services in Pakistan.
According to Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, the visa processing has been resumed with immediate effect.
