The Capital Development Authority (CDA) carried out a large-scale anti-encroachment operation in the Margalla Hills National Park area, resulting in the demolition of 13 illegal houses and the retrieval of 23 kanals of encroached government land.
According to CDA officials, the retrieved land has been handed over to the Environment Wing in view of environmental conservation. The operation was conducted to preserve the natural beauty and ecological integrity of the national park.
During the activity, several illegal structures built within the protected park boundaries were demolished.
CDA Chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited Saidpur Village during the operation and was briefed on the situation. He said strict action will continue against any form of encroachment or illegal occupation in the Margalla Hills National Park and other green zones of Islamabad. He reiterated that no compromises would be made regarding the preservation of the city’s natural beauty.
Chairman Randhawa further stated that the authority will take all possible steps to maintain Islamabad’s natural charm. “No one will be allowed to tamper with the ecological landscape of the capital,” he said, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy on illegal constructions within protected zones.
However, affected residents have accused CDA of violating legal protocols. They claimed the operation began in the darkness of night without prior notice, giving them little time to remove their belongings. The residents stated they had been living there for 30 to 40 years and had legal utility connections, including gas and electricity meters installed by the government. They called the operation unjust and said it disregarded their long-standing presence in the area.
CDA should show same efficiency in restoring Zone III and MHNP land north of newly built Margalla Avenue by evicting encroachment mafia. ZLsnd grab is going on without any check around Shah Allah Ditta area.

That land is not acquired by CDA. First pay the legal owners of land around Shah Allah Ditta then do whatever you want to do with that land. Saidpur village is an acquired area so there is no similarity.

CDA should also show it’s efficiency in other pending work regarding development and giving possession of installed sectors i.e I.12 etc for which allottees are waiting for the last 4 decades. The most of them has gone to graves taking hasrats in their hearts. So please do some positive and immediate reaction to ease sufferings of allottees.
Finally someone is there to ensure the government rit ☺️
Just to bring into kind notice of CDA officials,main sectors like G11 are full of encroachments, especially PHA and housing foundation apparyments are the neglected children and no department is ready to own and take action against the corrupt practices.

All promises made by the Honorable Chairman CDA to give possession of fully developed plots in Sector E-12, have been broken by the CDA official. Chairman Sb is requested to give clear orders with timeline to the concerned Department Heads for completion of following tasks:
1. Take possession of all acquired lands and clear built up properties on Service/Major Roads and Sub-sectors hindering the development works.
2. Issue Design and Work Order for remaining 7 culverts, to be constructed on Service/Major Roads.
3. Issue Contract/Work Order for development of E-12/4.
4. Ensure provision of Electricity, Gas, Optic Fiber, Water, Carpeting and Lighting of Roads and Streets, Footpaths, Parks, Landscaping and Plantation to make this Sector livable.
Where was CDA when such building were constructed?
Why gas and water connections given if this was illegal?
It’s all stupidity that first construct then destroy.
CDA should acquire the land first and pay the rights of the people living from 30 to 40 years. The people are very poor and cannot afford the courts expenditures.
Kindly build a mechanism to remove the katchi abadis in Islamabad as its hurting the beauty of Islamabad. Secondly they are continuously encroaching more and more land day by day. Third one these illegal katchi abadis are becoming a mess for law & order. Fourth one these katchi abadis are becoming hub of drugs. Now drugs is sold openly specially in G-7/2 Katchi abadis. Kindly make a plan to vacate this government land and re-settle if there is any genuine allottees. Hope to see a good action about it.
The green area of Islamabad has been sold out by CDA himself, now CDA chairman claiming that no encorchment are allowed Mr Chairman sb you touts your department has done alot of corruption if you have courge then you should check the old map of Islamabad and you can see green area and you should fine out where is this. I am visiting are since 1974 the old Islamabad us totally different then present but you will never try to findout the old Islamabad. Touts are always Touts.
Unless some CDA operatives are also punished, this process looks vindictive in nature. How did they manage to get utility connection as well manage to remain there 30 years without their illegality bee noticed by CDA??
