The federal government will likely announce another increase in the prices of petroleum products on July 15, 2025.
The prices of Motor Spirit (MS) and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) are expected to rise by Rs. 3 per liter and Rs. 0.78 per liter, respectively, effective 16 July, according to Arif Habib Limited (AHL).
Following the revision, prices of MS and HSD are likely to be set at Rs. 269.80 per liter and Rs. 273.80/liter, respectively.
The projected increase in MS prices is primarily attributed to a rise in the premium on MS itself, AHL added.
At the last fortnightly review of petroleum prices, the government increased the price of petrol and high-speed diesel by Rs. 4.80 per liter and Rs. 7.95 per liter, respectively.
