A high-level delegation from Huawei, led by Deputy CEO Mr. Ahmed Bilal Masud, visited the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and held a strategic meeting with Chairman PEC, Engr. Waseem Nazir, to explore opportunities for collaboration aimed at advancing Pakistan’s engineering and technology sectors.
The Huawei delegation also included Tan Shuang, Director Commercial Sales, and Yu Lei, Platform CFO.
From PEC team, Additional Registrar Muhammad Sohail and Assistant Registrar Samar Naseem participated in the meeting and shared key insights into the Council’s ongoing initiatives.
The discussion focused on several promising areas of partnership, including:
- Strengthening industry-academia linkages
- Capacity building and training programs for young engineers
- Promoting employment and internship opportunities
- Integrating ICT into engineering standards and smart infrastructure development
At the conclusion of the meeting, Chairman PEC Engr. Waseem Nazir presented ENGICON, the official PEC newsletter, to the Huawei delegation. The newsletter highlighted the Council’s milestones, achievements, and forward-looking vision.
Both parties expressed a shared commitment to empowering Pakistan’s engineering landscape through innovation, strategic alliances, and youth development.
