Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued a show cause notice to a private company for marketing an illegal housing scheme on social media.
According to the RDA spokesman, the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate issued notice to Future Development Holding Pvt. Ltd for advertisement/marketing on the social media of an illegal housing scheme, Capital Smart City Phase-III, located near Thallian Interchange M-2, Tehsil Rawalpindi, on the directions of the Director General (DG), RDA, Kinza Murtaza.
The DG, taking notice, warned the general public to avoid illegal housing schemes and not to get involved in the scam of any illegal housing society.
Moreover, the sponsors were also warned to stop immediately the marketing of their unapproved/illegal housing scheme and should contact RDA for getting NOC / approval of the scheme as per law; otherwise, strict legal action will be taken against them.
RDA Spokesman said MP&TE Directorate RDA had sent letters with request/information to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Islamabad, Cyber Crime Islamabad, SNGPL Islamabad, The District Collector Rawalpindi, District Council Rawalpindi, about illegal advertisements of private housing schemes on social media, WhatsApp, YouTube and other apps of internet facility.
The DG RDA has directed the MP&TE Directorate RDA to take strict action against illegal/unauthorized housing schemes, commercial activities, booking offices and encroachments without any fear or favor, he added.

DG RDA is requested to, plz focus on B-17 ,(Multi Gardens housing Society GT road Sangjani) where hundreds of NON Existing FAKE plots were sold to gen public yrs back.
Society blames the RDA as they issued NOC for the same. The affectees are helpless who spent heavy amounts to purchase their plots in this society .NAB& FIA may inquire the subj Scam.
