The 6M Karachi Inter-Bank Offered Rate (KIBOR) is currently trading at 10.86 percent as of July 25, 2025.
According to Arif Habib Limited (AHL), this is the lowest level the 6-month KIBOR has been in 41 months.
The 6M KIBOR has fallen by one basis point to 10.86 percent from 10.87 percent yesterday after S&P Global upgraded Pakistan’s sovereign credit rating from ‘CCC+’ to ‘B-’ on Thursday and assigned a ‘stable’ outlook, citing improvements in the country’s financial position and foreign reserves, supported by assistance from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The benchmark KIBOR is now just 14 bps lower than the central bank’s key lending rate, which stands at 11 percent.
