The Punjab government has confirmed that all public and private schools across the province will reopen on August 15, 2025, marking the end of summer vacations. However, many parents are still waiting to see if authorities will extend the break due to ongoing heat concerns.
According to an earlier notification issued in May, normal academic activities are scheduled to resume from Thursday, August 15. However, attendance is expected to be low that day due to lingering uncertainty and the approaching weekend. If no extension is announced, schools are likely to return to full operations from Monday, August 18.
The government has not officially commented on whether the summer break will be extended, stating that any decision will depend on a final review of the prevailing weather conditions.
Single Shift Schools:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Double Shift Schools:
Morning Shift:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Afternoon/Evening Shift:
- Monday to Thursday: 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM
- Friday: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
As temperatures remain high in several parts of Punjab, parents and school staff are closely monitoring updates from the provincial government regarding a possible holiday extension.

Fauji foundation model school chakri rajgan is already opened from 21 of july and now in this hot summer it cannot justify the hotness of weather and still open the school. This is very bad act for students health.

School timing or job timing why they call students in so early timings especially for kids it’s not good for their health to not complete their sleeping cycle 8:30 to 2:30 is more better for junior who are less than 18 years old there must be some rules in Pakistan for minor school timings????? Kindly government of pakistan take action on it

Our school is open till 7th July.
It’s not fair to burdenized students.
Schools should be open on 25th Aug or 1st September.
