The Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) has decided to replace electricity meters damaged during the monsoon season, allocating a budget of Rs3.52 billion for the initiative.
According to company officials, the LESCO Board of Directors has approved the budget, which will cover the replacement of single-phase, three-phase, and LT TOU meters.

As per NEPRA regulations, LESCO is obligated to replace faulty meters for consumers free of cost. The utility is required to install a defective code and ensure meter replacement within two billing cycles.
In the event of a malfunctioning meter, LESCO issues an average bill to the consumer, calculated either on the basis of the last 11 months’ average consumption or the same month’s usage from the previous year.

Claiming by LESCO they will replace meters free of cost is totally fraud statement. I am the victim of this like many others. My old meter was not faulty at all, LESCO put Defective code and and billed 1184 units place actual consumption of 290 units of two months. LESCO billed for the months when the house was vacated (it was on rent before and was vacated two and half months. Even after new meter consumption was 145 unit LESCO billed 345 units (200) extra.
You’re not alone. Same happend to us in an empty house with no connection of meter to the house.
Barish ki waja sy metr jal gya
It’s too late for me. Twice I’ve had to pay for a new meter and Lesco didn’t even let me keep the old one (which I had paid for and showed them the receipt). They took it away with them saying it had to be deposited in their store.
Oo Allah. . . . Kya apne application di thi isko replace krny ki
