The Sindh government has announced an extension for the deadline to install security-featured number plates on vehicles. The new deadline is now October 31, 2025, which was previously set for August 14.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Provincial Minister for Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, during which he was briefed in detail about the attendance and performance of PPP members in the Sindh Assembly.
During the meeting, there was also an in-depth discussion on the overall security situation in the province and progress related to the installation of number plates.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, keeping public convenience in mind, directed an extension of the deadline, after which Minister Mukesh Chawla promptly announced the new date.
According to the Excise Department, the new number plates come with advanced security features, which will play a vital role in vehicle identification and crime prevention.
Citizens have been urged to install the new number plates within the stipulated time to avoid any legal action.
