In a move aimed at enhancing internal security, the federal government has sanctioned the recruitment of 3,229 constables for the newly transformed Federal Constabulary (FC), as reported by 24NewsHD on Wednesday.
This major recruitment push follows a recent presidential ordinance that elevated the status of the former Frontier Constabulary into a fully-fledged federal security force with nationwide jurisdiction.

To ensure balanced representation, recruitment will be conducted according to regional and provincial quotas:
- Punjab – 20% (646 positions)
- Sindh – 20% (646 positions)
- Balochistan – 20% (646 positions)
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – 20% (646 positions)
- Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) – 10% (323 positions)
- Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) – 6% (193 positions)
- Islamabad Capital Territory – 4% (129 positions)
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Requirement: 18 to 22 years
- Education: Minimum second division in Matric (SSC), Intermediate (FA/FSc), or equivalent
Minimum Height:
- Male Candidates: 5 feet 10 inches
- Female Candidates: 5 feet 5 inches
All applicants will undergo a rigorous selection process, including physical fitness assessments and written examinations, to ensure merit-based recruitment.
This initiative reflects the government’s continued efforts to strengthen the country’s law enforcement agencies and ensure equitable employment opportunities across all regions.
