During a high-level meeting, she called for a detailed strategy to boost wheat production and ease the financial burden on farmers.

The Chief Minister emphasized the need to lower the costs of agricultural inputs ahead of the wheat sowing season. She instructed officials to guarantee an adequate supply of fertilizer and to extend targeted subsidies to small-scale wheat farmers.

  • Very nice. Good initiative. Only two things to be ensured.
1- Deserving farmers should be given loan.
2- Fool proof system for disbursement/ recovery of loan must be ensured. This will encourage govt/ banks to initiate more beneficial schemes for farmers.

    • Farmers don’t need loans. They need market access and equipment facilities to grow crops.

  • Father’s don’t need loans . They need facilities and equipment and access to my markets.

We’ve been giving loans to farmers and mostly land lords gobble them up.

Farmers need to be given access and income.

And stop importing food from other nations

  • The post is sketchy and information provided on the subject seems to be a teaser to attract attention for political purposes.
Hardly two months are there to the time of sowing of wheat.
