The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) has announced the opening of applications for its prestigious PhD Scholarships 2026/27, offering fully funded opportunities for doctoral studies and short-term research in Germany.
Two major funding options are available:
- Research Grants – Doctoral Programmes in Germany: Full funding for PhD candidates at German universities or research institutes. Details here
- Research Grant in Germany: Short-term funded research opportunities ranging from 2 to 12 months for doctoral students, and 2 to 6 months for postdoctoral researchers.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must hold an MS or MPhil degree with an above-average academic record. Admission to either an individual doctoral project or a structured PhD program is also required.
The deadline to apply is August 29, 2025.
