Overseas Pakistanis to Get Faster CNIC and NICOP Services With NADRA’s New Upgrade

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has enhanced its services for overseas Pakistanis by upgrading the one-window facilitation desk at Bacha Khan International Airport in Peshawar.

The newly upgraded desk, now located within the briefing area of the international terminal, aims to streamline identity-related services for Pakistani expatriates and international travelers. It provides full access to digital services, including those available through NADRA’s Pak-ID mobile application.

According to NADRA’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Regional Director General, the desk now offers services such as the issuance and renewal of National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), Family Registration Certificates (FRC), and Pakistan Origin Cards (POC). These offerings match the capabilities of NADRA’s main branch offices, providing added convenience and reliability for travelers.

The upgraded desk is designed to reduce waiting times and improve overall service delivery. Special attention is being paid to senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring urgent documentation services.

This step is part of a broader initiative by the federal government to facilitate overseas Pakistanis. It includes placing representatives from 13 different departments at airport facilitation desks across the country.

Earlier this year, NADRA also launched an online platform for birth and death registrations via the Pak ID app. This system allows citizens to submit vital registration data directly to relevant union councils without visiting local offices, further advancing the “Digital Pakistan” initiative.
