Law enforcement agencies on Monday intensified their crackdown on financial crimes, as the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) jointly raided Bahria Town offices in Islamabad, seizing key records as part of an ongoing investigation into money laundering and illegal financial networks.
According to FIA officials, the raids led to the recovery of sensitive documents and the arrest of several Bahria Town staff members. Initial findings allegedly point to a vast hawala-hundi and money laundering network tied to property tycoon Malik Riaz and his son, Ali Riaz.
The FIA disclosed that three major cases of money laundering have been identified against Bahria Town: laundering of Rs. 1.58 trillion between 2016 and January 2025, Rs. 1 billion between 2015 and March 2025, and Rs. 24 billion between 2005 and 2015.
Officials said evidence collected during the raids corroborates earlier Bahria Town cases already under NAB scrutiny, prompting the bureau to reopen all pending files related to the housing developer.
Investigators further revealed details of benami (front) properties allegedly linked to Bahria Town, with an estimated value running into hundreds of billions of rupees. Both FIA and NAB have stepped up their investigations and are expected to begin daily legal proceedings from next week.
Officials vowed that all illegal activities tied to the cases will be pursued to their “logical conclusion.”

Law is also for Mafias, thanks govt
It’s good that corrupt practices are being hampered, but the question arise what NAB & FIA were doing earlier in this behalf. As per agencies’ own saying, these illegal activities date back to early 2000. Now, when the establishment has turned tables against the Bahria Town, these investigative departments have become active!
Actually it is army so…
Yeah… like BAJWA ETC
😂😂
Agencies should go for other housing societies doing the same or will wakeup after all these property ticons take the looted money from people to other countries through Hawala
25 saal se hawal hundi ka kam chl rha tha. Inko ab yad kyun aur kese yad aya k isk oper karwai krni thi
Witch-hunt, nothing else. Selective and delayed application of the Law are Lawlessness. Who hears and who cares?
With no reference and context and raided offices and arrested people have been named in is told in stories and tales.
Same FIA, NAB were supposed to arrest and put sitting leaders in jail. What a country.
They tried & failed!
Provide proof next time
⌚️ chooor
😂😂
NAB and FIA both notorious and most corrupt.
Though it’s a good step to control money laundering but the question is where was NAB & FIA during these 9 years (2016 – 2024) when the money was transferred from Pakistan? Due to arrest of senior management, the govt should ensure that the residents of Bahria town recieve unstopped routine services in regards to electricity, water supply, maintenance, waste disposal etc.
Where is case against zardari and shareef family that was started after “Panama leak”. Both families also took favours from Malik Riaz which is not even a secret but are not even implicated. This is a witch hunt to bury all the evidence of corruption and embezzlement of trillions of rupees by the politicians of the party that participated in a coup against Imran khan. Even now these major traitors to the Pakistani public are involved in extorting money from public by abusing the taxation system and the banking system. Yet ignorant people still think voting them back into office would somehow “fix” the economy. Wake up! They destroyed the economy and there is no magical means to fix it now. The only thing we can do is bring new players into the government plagued by nepotism and nawabzadah culture
😂😂😂 IMRANDO YOOTHIA cryin at its best
U got no proof just ranting brev
Sit down
Government is putting pressure on Malik to force for witnising against Imran khan, but the y are not worried about the general public who have booked or owned their plots twenty years ago and Malik has yet not developed and given possession of their plots. It’s means that government has no concern with the public interest.
⌚️ CHOOR is the main target
Jews Dog
🙏🏼😂😂
I dont understand Malik Riyaz is doing business since long time ago, then why not FIA, NAB was doing any investigate before that time, even every thing was open, n now suddenly what happen? I wrong or right, pls correct me.
Shame on NAB for arresting poor employees. Go and arrest those people who was in government at that time.
He is very cleaver and cunning , and his staff is more cunning than him.
Bahria Town has always been suspect, like all other ‘developers, builders and contractors’. The innocent public has lost billions of Rupees due to fraud by their infamous “Property Dealers” who are part of the Malik Riaz & Ali Riaz mafia. When you go to buy a plot as an investment prices are high as are the Bahria Town transfer fees and allied charges. If you want to build a house their architects fees are horrendous. Above all, their inspectors are in league with contractors and innocent house builders are shocked at the amount of steel that is written in to the Bahria Town architect’s design as so called ‘great house’. In the end, most innocent house owners are fleeced left and right by the mafia and are forced to sell their houses which have been built by their hard earned money combined with their sweat and blood. Bricks are also, substandard and contractors are ‘chowkidars’ who pose to be contractors. Those of us who have seen this game have been through heart attacks and heart bypasses. With great difficulty, we finish the house, only to be looted once more by these very property agents when we sell cursing Malik Riaz and his cohorts who bring the selling prices down to unbelievable rates. We end up living once more in rented houses. The government should make it compulsory for all property dealers, contractors, workers, electricians and plumbers to be skilled in their respective trades and have certificates of qualifications. Malik Riaz and ALL his family members should be brought back in chains to be jailed for life with his agents after fair court proceedings. Let justice prevail before we go to our graves having lost everything to these daylight thieves.
