The Punjab School Education Department has announced the launch of the second phase of its teacher rationalisation policy, set to begin next week. Under this initiative, educators from schools with surplus staff will be reassigned to institutions struggling with teacher shortages.
According to official instructions, all Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) and District Assistant Education Officers (DAEOs) have been directed to submit detailed reports, particularly after several teachers failed to assume their new duties during the first phase. The department has cautioned that disciplinary measures will be taken against those who disregard transfer orders.
Meanwhile, the Director of Monitoring has ordered officials to finalise the registration and verification of student enrollments on the Central Education System (CESS) within two days and to ensure timely enforcement of the transfer process.
