NADRA Temporarily Shuts Down Punjab Service Centers Amid Flood Emergency

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced the temporary suspension of operations at multiple service centers across Punjab as heavy rainfall and flooding continue to disrupt life in the province.

An official statement said the decision was made to safeguard both citizens and NADRA staff during the ongoing emergency.

The centers affected by the closure include Vanike Tarar, Hafizabad, Jalalpur Bhattian (Hafizabad), 18 Hazari (Jhang), Ahmad Nagar (Chiniot), Midh Ranjha (Sargodha), Kari Sharif (Gujrat), Kotli Loharan (Sialkot), Syedpur (Sialkot), Khidmat Markaz (Sialkot), and Depalpur (Okara). These facilities will remain closed until conditions improve.

To ensure service continuity, NADRA has advised residents of the impacted districts to approach nearby functioning centers, while mobile registration vans have been deployed to help manage the increased demand in adjoining areas.

Mobile Drive for Overseas Pakistanis

In a separate development, NADRA will be rolling out a Mobile Registration Drive in the United Kingdom on August 30, 2025, to provide key services to overseas Pakistanis.

According to the schedule, the service will be available at Blackburn (Manchester) from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and at Sheffield (Bradford) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

The mobile teams will facilitate the renewal of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs), issuance of National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOPs), and Family Registration Certificates (FRCs). Applicants have been asked to bring their old CNICs or B-Forms to ensure a smooth process.
