The Deputy Commissioner of Okara has announced the closure of schools in flood-affected areas of the district until September 7, following warnings of dangerous flooding in the Sutlej and Ravi rivers.
According to the official notification, both public and private schools located in such areas will remain shut to protect the lives of students. The directive comes in response to rising water levels and the risk of worsening conditions.
