KP Ends BS Programs With Associate Degree Programs in Colleges

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has announced the closure of BS programs in public sector colleges, replacing them with associate degree programs.

According to a statement issued by the Education Department, several subjects previously offered under the BS program have been deemed unnecessary and are being phased out in 36 colleges across the province.

The list of discontinued subjects includes Pashto, Political Science, Urdu, Pakistan Studies, and other disciplines. Officials explained that the move was prompted by consistently low enrollment and a high dropout rate in these programs.
