The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced a temporary suspension of its call center services in Islamabad and Rawalpindi due to technical issues.
According to the official statement, NADRA’s helpline services, including the universal access number 051-111-786-100 and the mobile user line 1777, will remain unavailable from 12 AM to 8 AM 3rd September,2025 (today). The authority has cited technical reasons for the disruption and confirmed that the issue is being addressed.
During the outage, citizens have been advised to visit NADRA’s official website or reach out via the authority’s verified social media channels for assistance and updates.
NADRA has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and assured the public that services will resume promptly at 8 AM.
Established in 2000, NADRA serves as Pakistan’s central authority for civil registration, responsible for issuing Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and maintaining citizen records. The CNIC system, which leverages advanced biometric and digital technologies, has played a key role in modernizing public identification in the country.
As of 2012, NADRA had issued identity cards to over 89.5 million citizens, with eligibility beginning at the age of 18.
