Pakistan to Open FIA Immigration Link Offices in Six Countries

In response to increasing cases of human trafficking, Pakistan has decided to expand the presence of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration Wing by establishing new link offices in six countries.

According to official sources, three of the offices will be set up in Europe—the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy—while additional offices will be opened in Turkey, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

FIA officials noted that several human trafficking rackets targeting Pakistan are being run from these countries, which prompted the government to enhance its international operations. The decision follows recent investigations that uncovered the involvement of overseas networks in human smuggling cases.

The new offices will focus on tracking trafficking routes, monitoring international travel patterns, and coordinating efforts with host authorities. In addition, they will assist foreign businessmen and tourists, offering improved facilitation and services for legitimate travelers.

Authorities emphasized that the initiative will strengthen cooperation with partner countries and play a key role in dismantling organized human trafficking networks operating across borders.
