Punjab Approves Rs. 112 Billion for Various Projects Including Free Laptop Scheme

The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved projects worth Rs112 billion during its 24th meeting, chaired by Dr. Naeem Rauf, Chairman of the Planning and Development Board.

Key allocations include:

  • Rs9.84 billion for the Chief Minister’s Laptop Program.
  • Rs5.79 billion for the establishment of IT labs in colleges under the CM’s Initiative.
  • Rs3.92 billion for the Punjab Wildlife Conservation and Habitat Renovation Programme.
  • Rs3.82 billion for introducing a waste management system in tertiary care hospitals.
  • Rs32.47 billion for the construction and repair of BHUs, RHCs, MCH centers, and related facilities.
  • Rs46 billion for various schemes under the Chief Minister’s Clean Water Program.
  • Rs2.17 billion for the National Health Support Program.
  • Rs5.63 billion for Phase-II of the Judicial Academy Lahore at Kala Shah Kaku.

The meeting was attended by P&D Board Secretary Rafiqat Ali, board members, and officials from relevant departments.
